Tony Mellace

2026 Hall of Fame Inductee

 

For twenty-five years, Tony Mellace has been the quiet engine behind the technology that keeps our Club running. As President and Owner of Megabyte Solutions — which he founded in 1994 and has led for more than three decades — Tony built a career helping commercial and residential clients navigate the ever-changing world of computer technology. We have been fortunate to be among them. 

 

Tony's connection to the Club began the way so many of our best partnerships do: through his son. What started as a parent stepping in to help build out our technology center in Marlborough grew into a quarter-century of service. Over time, Tony took on our entire IT operation, becoming the person we called when something broke, when we needed to plan ahead, and when we needed someone we could trust to simply get it done. 

 

What set Tony apart was never just his expertise — it was his steadiness and his generosity. He showed up for the Club year after year, treating our mission as if it were his own and never letting the work feel transactional. Generations of staff and members have benefited from systems they never had to think about, because Tony was thinking about them. 

 

This year, Tony is retiring, and while we will miss him, we are grateful beyond words for the twenty-five years he gave us. His fingerprints are on every corner of our technology, and his legacy will continue to support the Club long after his last service call. Thank you, Tony — for the work, the partnership, and the heart you brought to all of it.
