Emerging Leaders Board

Boys & Girls Clubs of MetroWest’s Emerging Leaders are a group of up-and-coming professionals across the MetroWest region who believe in giving back to their communities and supporting the development of the next generation of young leaders.

NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR THE 2025-2026 BOARD YEAR

Mission

The Emerging Leaders mission is to activate the MetroWest’s vibrant and talented young professional community to support BGCMW by:

 

  • Raising critical funds (goal is $15,000 in 2025).

  • Increasing awareness of our life-changing programs and services, the impact on our community, and the growing need.

  • Contributing directly to the cause through volunteerism and service.

To accomplish this goal, our Emerging Leaders are tasked with hosting social and networking events to educate their networks about the life-changing programs offered by our Clubs as well as raise funds to support the mission of the organization. 

Monthly Meetings:

Emerging Leaders meet monthly via zoom, with meetings facilitated by BGCMW Development manager Angela Rahman.

Program Structure:

  • Monthly Meetings: Alternating between planning sessions and skill-building opportunities.

  • 2nd Wednesday every month 7-8pm 

Expectations & Responsibilities:

  • Passion & Community Engagement: Demonstrate a commitment to our mission and live/work within one of our three core communities.

  • Fundraising & Financial Contribution: Actively participate in fundraising efforts to *pull goal down from above* and contribute or secure an annual donation of $250.

  • Event Planning: Plan at minimum one social fundraiser every spring. 

Commitment:

Minimum one-year term (starting September 2025-June 2026). Maintain an 85% meeting attendance rate.

  • Network with like-minded professionals while having fun and acquiring valuable new skills. 

  • Gain in-depth insights into the nonprofit sector through personalized coaching from BGCMW staff and board members and hands-on experience.

  • Help expand the funding pool for BGCMW, directly impacting the lives of youth in your community. 

  • Networking with the BGCMW community with opportunities to serve on board committees if interested.
