August 21, 2024

We’re gearing up for back to school with the help of the Arthur F. Blanchard Trust as part of the BNY Mellon Charitable Giving Program!

This grant for $50,000 will help to fund transportation and after-school programming for youth of all ages in Marlborough.

BNY Mellon has supported the Clubs through various trusts since 2014 and has been a trusted partner in helping to ensure all youth have access to the high-quality programming here at the Club.

MA Attorney General Visits the Club

August 7, 2024

Today Attorney General Andrea Joy Campbell visited the Framingham Clubhouse in support of the Healthy Summer Youth Jobs program.

Joining the Attorney General was State Representative Jack Lewis, State Representative Kate Donaghue, representatives from State Representative Priscila Sousa’s office and Senate President Karen E. Spilka’s offices, City of Framingham Mayor Charles Sisitsky, Framingham City Councilor Phil Ottaviani, and many members of the AG’s team.

After taking a tour of the Framingham Club, these welcomed guests had the opportunity to meet with two of our part-time staff members, Sam and Nick, who shared their experiences with working at the Club and their goals for the future.

A big thank you to the Attorney General, her team, and all of our guests for visiting our Boys & Girls Club today! Your support and engagement make a world of difference in the lives of our kids and teens. Together, we’re building brighter futures!

Main Street Bank Partners with BGCMW

July 31, 2024

In 2023, Main Street Bank committed to a three-year partnership to “invest in today’s heroes and tomorrow’s leaders.” A total investment of $30,000 was committed to supporting the Club’s Torch and Keystone Leadership programs, as well as the celebration of Club legends through the Hall of Fame Inductee event. As we wrap up the first year of this partnership, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on the wins of the year and to say thank you to Main Street Bank.

This year, more than 45 teens spent time exploring potential careers, volunteering, learning life skills – like financial literacy, and managing the Club’s Keystone Café’s.

In addition to supporting the teen programming, Main Street Bank was also the exclusive presenting sponsor of the Annual Hall of Fame Breakfast! Thank You to our Board Member (& Club Alumni) Jeff Tucker for advocating for this program and for helping us secure this investment through Main Street Bank!

Eversource Invests in STEM

June 6, 2024

Peter Bowman, Senior Specialist Community Relations, visited the Marlborough Clubhouse and presented BGCMW with a check in support of STEM programming. These funds have been designated for "App Lab," a program that teaches youth how to build an app, design their own app, and present their app to their peers. Youth have been eager to learn more about coding and because of Eversource's investment,  a group of Marlborough youth will be able to participate this fall!

Thank you to Peter & Eversource!
