John's involvement with the Boys & Girls Clubs of MetroWest began in 1995 as a member of the 50th Anniversary Committee and continued in 1996 when he became a Board member, taking over as Treasurer. He served as Treasurer for three years and as Vice-Chair for one year, before being appointed Chair of Operations in 2004. In addition to serving on various committees, John's first task as Treasurer was to sign the paperwork for the sale of the former Girl's Inc. building, which now serves as a church next to the Marlborough Clubhouse. 

 

John currently serves as a Board member for the Boys & Girls Clubs of MetroWest and is the 2010 recipient of their Michael C. Sullivan Community Partner for Youth Award.
