Individual Volunteers
All repetitive volunteers must complete an application and background check process, along with an interview and formal onboarding prior to any volunteer commitment. One-time volunteers must submit their volunteer application and agree to our volunteer code of conduct. All repetitive volunteers are asked to cover the costs associated with their background check ($40/year).
Volunteers under the Age of 18
Although prospective volunteers who are under the age of 18 are not able to participate in our official volunteer program, we are able to offer limited opportunities. If you are would like to be considered, please complete the volunteer application. Please keep in mind that all youth volunteers (under 18 and/or still enrolled in high school) must become members at the Boys & Girls Clubs of MetroWest, which includes a $25 membership fee per school year.
Court Appointed Volunteers
The Boys & Girls Club has very limited opportunities for court mandated volunteer applicants. Please note that we are unable to accept volunteers who have drug/weapons charges or who are registered sex offenders. Please call the Resource Development office at 508-485-4912 to discuss your individual situation prior to applying.
Corporate Volunteer Groups
We ask any corporate and for-profit volunteer groups, who do not currently support the Club in a financial capacity, for an engagement fee made in advance of their volunteer day. We are deeply grateful for the work of our volunteer groups and this fee helps cover the costs of planning and executing our volunteer events and supports the Boys & Girls Clubs of MetroWest. For corporations who would like to bring up to 10 volunteers, the requested fee is a minimum of $500. For corporations that have 11 – 25 volunteers, the fee is a minimum of $1,000. This fee can be waived for organizations that provide a comparable level of financial support through other activities, such as sponsorships or agreed-upon in-kind donations. Please call us to discuss groups of 26 or more volunteers.
